The Skye Ferry
The Skye Ferry operates from Glenelg to Kylerhea on the Isle of Skye, summer months only. This 6 car ferry is an alternative to the Skye Bridge, or go by one and return on the other.
The village of Plockton on the south side of Loch Carron.
'Sula Mhor' operates seal trips from Plockton from Easter to October
Eilean Donan Castle
The well known castle at Dornie, on Loch Duich. On the A87 main road south, about 22 miles from Lochcarron.
Skye Media (Cailean MacLean)
Broadcaster / photographer Cailean MacLean has good gallery of Isle of Skye photographs with captions also in Gaelic. The site includes his radio programme clips for you to listen or download.
Hans Zell Publishing
Hans Zell runs a publishing business from Lochcarron, with an emphasis on African books. A wide ranging site with links from Lochcarron to Africa.
A drive through the area.
This amazing site by Frederik Ramm uses thousands of pictures in sequence to drive through the area on various routes. If that was not enough, it shows the changing position on a map with satellite navigation created references ! For best effect try it with Java ON if you have a reasonable connection speed.

The Clan MacRae
The MacRae Gathering took place in this area 15th - 17th July 2005. They had a stall at Lochcarron Highland Games and also took part in the march in for the opening ceremony.
